I am using Realtek HD Audio Manager Driver Ver 6. To simplify all I want to achieve is what I used to be able to do before: be able to change the default sound device from speakers (5.1 surround) to headphones (stereo). I have recently moved my computer to a different room, and now whenever I plug the headphones in they are somehow 'merged' with the speakers, so if I play anything through it comes out both outputs. I have a gaming tower with HD 5.1 output on the motherboard, but I also use headphones through the standard headphone output on the front of the rig. I have come across a really weird problem. ![]()
